It's my family's favorite place for to go dimsum!! We always got siu mai, fried wonton, chicken feet, roasted duck and roasted pork. It's authentic and delicious. The price is higher on the weekend though. The service is okay since it's busy Chinese place and they tried to get the line moving faster. My tips is go in the morning while everything is still hot and ready. If you arrive anytime after lunch time most likely the food that you are looking for is sold out already.

Only place left to get affordable dim sum. I remember this place used to be $2 each item but now it's close to $5. I come during the weekday so there's more selection. On the weekends the lines are so long and it's hard to find parking. One less star because this place the staff don't speak a lot of English so you have to be good at pointing your finger and nodding your head so they pack the right dim sum for you to go. I love their egg tarts. So delicious and flaky crust. Their fortune cake and bbq pork pastries are delicious as well. This small store also has a fresh meat area where you can grab some pork, bbq meat, chicken, and squid. They also have 2or 3 items combo that you can choose from. Large portion sizes and food is always fresh. If you order 5 dim sum items then they will let you use your credit card to pay. Otherwise cash only. I've also come in the morning to pay and reserved my egg tarts and then pick them up after work. Good service for this. Ordering line and payment line are similar. Staff can be pushy as to ask which items you want and they close your order fast so that they can help next customer. Hence 1 less star.

Food: 4 stars Service: 2.5-3 stars During the pandemic, I've been extremely grateful for Food to Go being open for our dim sum cravings. The quality and taste has vastly improved since a few years ago, must have changed chefs. Food to Go has BBQ, dim sum, and prepared food for bentos. The most I've lined up has been about 40+ minutes a few times on weekdays because that is how busy they have been. Thankful for the canopies they provide from the beating sun. The quality of the ingredients have improved, along with adding an enhanced ingredient here and there for better tasting dim sum. There are a few dim sum places nearby, but Food to Go now is our go-to for their cost and taste. Weekday prices are cheaper than weekends. Service is not the greatest but I am able to get what I want to order most times. Go early because they sell out of certain items, but they also continue to bring out freshly made items from the kitchen throughout the day. Parking is a plenty because they share the Tak Shing Hong parking lot.

Food To Go is literally a hole in wall joint & it's been around for a verrrrry long time. But I've been coming here for the past few years whenever I have the chance to visit the area. This to-go spot is not aesthetically pleasing on the eye inside or outside. Within this tiny joint there is like 3 sections built into one. Best know what you want to get & make it fast cuz those Asian ladies working behind the counter aren't there to provide you the best customer service nor experience. They're there to get you your food & get you out of there. They don't have time for formalities nor do they care. Sooo don't be offended! "Food To Go" - the name speaks for itself. FYI - If you speak the language (Cantonese or Mandarin) they are somewhat a tad bit more approachable. It has been the case for me tho :) Upon entering Food To Go: TO YOUR LEFT -- is your Chinese BBQ items - BBQ pork, chicken, duck, roasted pig, roasted pork, cuttle fish & etc. I haven't ordered from this section before but I'm pretty sure their BBQ items don't disappoint. IN THE MIDDLE -- are your basic dim sum staples. Good enough to satisfy my cravings! They don't list what the items are, you have to know what you want & tell them. My main go-to items are their Siu Mai, Har Gow, Lo Mai Gai, Cheung Fun, Ham Sui Gok & Wu Gok. There's more but I just listed a few lol Prices here are pretty good versus at the restaurant or Tasty Box Dim Sum (which I do love!). On weekdays all items $3.38 & weekends $3.68. TO YOUR RIGHT -- you choose your 1, 2 or 3 lunch item combo (cost from $2-$6) or even order party trays (ranging from $20-$55). Food items here don't disappoint for I've done both combos & party trays. On the weekends the lines are long so do expect a wait. People do line up social distanced. But once within the joint it's sorta another story :P Parking can be tough since their share the lot with TS Emporium & some other small businesses. But I rather hit up on the weekdays with lesser people & wait. Food To Go is as authentic as you can get. Also, they serve all their food items in Styrofoam boxes :P Sighh..... ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: -:: OVERALL RATING ::-   2.5/5.0    ::    Venue 3.0/5.0    ::    Service   4.0/5.0    ::    Food :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I'm glad this place is still up and running during COVID. This is a to go only restaurant and they have the best dim sum in town. Everything is freshly made and flavor is always on point. The prices are average and on weekends it increases by a dollar. If you plan on going please note these is always a line out the door. It does move fairly quickly which is a good thing. When you finally get inside you will see lots of the classic dim sum menu items. They also offer other selections all of which are very good. As for staff/service it is just ok service. Don't expect to have a conversation with the person getting your food they are all business and want to get you in and out of there as soon as possible because they have others to serve. They do speak English so if you don't know what to order then just ask them to open the lids. I always do because I don't know the name of the item or I simply just want to see what else they have. *This location does accept cash and credit card*

Yeah, so this place pretty much rocks my socks for the following reasons: 1. Get your dim sum to-go!! Get your fix quickly without a long ass wait like you would at dim sum restaurants on the weekends! 2. They box up your dim sum selections stat, you pay cash, and then you're outta there in minutes flat. 3. Pretty inexpensive, overall. I think about $1 per dim sum piece. They won't have ALL varieties of dim sum selections, but they have the popular items & most of my favorites: Pork Shumai, shrimp dumpling (har gow), steamed BBQ pork bun, shrimp wrapped in rice flour, radish cake, Phoenix talons, chicken rice wrapped in lotus leaf, Shanghai style dumplings, fried taro, egg rolls, other steamed and fried goodies. 4. They also offer BBQ selections to-go for big parties or big appetites: Chopped up BBQ pork, chopped up BBQ duck, chopped up steamed chicken, etc. 5. Parking is convenient and easy. Huge lot. In the TS EMPORIUM PLAZA right next to SEAFOOD VILLAGE RESTAURANT. CONS: - CASH only - Staff won't really give a F about you. Or service, really. I don't care cz I'm just there to get my dim sum to-go as quickly as possible - The place is kind of run down and greasy. - NOT the best dim sum I've had, but good enough to satisfy.
